Filtered Water Means Good Quality Ice

To guarantee a healthy and tasty product, proper and safe handling of ice is important in the restaurant business. A good quality filter system is essential to make sure that residual bacteria, accumulated minerals and other contaminants are removed from the water.

The following shows the number of filters needed in a commercial ice machine, depending on the size of the machine.

Ice filters need to be changed every six months. A commercial ice machine will have to work harder if the filter system is not replaced periodically. Failure to change the filters will contribute to the ice machine wearing out faster.
